Gatekeeper team grows
Reflex Data Systems has increased staffing levels in line with growing demand for its software products and also with an eye to the future.
We have augmented the quality assurance testing team with the appointment of Amy Pawlett.
Our service delivery manager Amanda Castledine gave Amy her break in QA when they were working together for a different company.
"Amy was in admin and I could see she was very tenacious, which is a good quality to have in QA," says Amanda.
"Starting as a trainee, she has worked hard to gain her professional qualifications. I am proud of her achievements."
Amy joins Anne Rowland and Lisa Keen in the QA team, which acts as 'the gatekeepers' of the business in protecting against unforeseen problems in software releases and ensuring they are fit for purpose.
We’ve also brought in two new graduates, project manager Bradley Alcock and developer Ben Russell.
Bradley studied business and IT at Northumbria University UK and is currently working on Webtex developments.
Ben who studied computer programming at the University of Teesside has joined us after 15 months' business experiences and nine months teaching English in China.
And for the first time at Reflex we are bringing in apprentices, so a warm welcome to Megan Gerrard and Tom Wilson.
They have started advanced level apprenticeships – Megan in social media and digital marketing and Tom in software development. We are working with a recognized training provider to supplement our internal training program.
Director Ian Holmes and projects team manager Harvey Binning have been involved in bringing in the new recruits.
"They are growing into the Reflex Data Systems culture," says Ian. "They are positive, outgoing and have loads of enthusiasm."
